Week 5: Bible Reading

Wednesday:

This passage is about when Elijah is taken up to heaven. Elijah and Elisha went to Gilgal. Elisha ask Elijah to give him a double portion of his spirit. Elijah tells him if he sees him taken up then he can receive it. Suddenly a chariot of fire came down and separated them. It then took Elijah up. I don't like when others do not keep their commitments so I try to keep my commitments. I try my best to keep my commitments, but sometimes that is hard to do.

Week 4 Reading Plan: Friday

Friday:

This passage is about how Ahab told  Jezebel everything Elijah did. Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah. Elijah became scared and he ran for his life. Elijah went to Beershaba, and the Lord asked Elijah what he was doing there. He told Elijah to go stand on the mt. in the presence of God. The last time I felt sorry for myself was when I got some bad news.

Week 4 Reading Plan: Thursday

Thursday:

This passage is about when Obadiah goes to meet Elijah. Elijah tells him that he and his family has caused trouble for Israel. He tells him to go and bring everyone to Mount Carmel. Elijah tells the people that if God is your God then serve Him. If Baal is your god serve him. I believe that God's power is strong. He has the power to heal, deliver, save and so many other things.

Week 4: Wednesday

Wednesday:

This passage is about how Elijah receives a word from the Lord. The Lord tells Elijah to leave and go eastward, and hide in Kerith. It also talks about how Elijah encounters a widow woman. The Lord tells elijah to go to the widow woman because he has instructed her to feed Elijah. The lady does not have any bread just flour. She says she is taking it home to make a meal for her and her son so they can eat and die. Elijah tells her to make a small loaf for him. She makes the bread. Her son eventually becomes sick and dies. Elijah takes the boy and cries out th the Lord to let the boy lice. The boy lives. Obeying God and trusting Him goes together. In order to obey God you have to trust Him and have faith and know that He is Go,and to let Him do what He needs to do.

Week 4 Bible Reading

Tuesday:

This passage is about Solomon's son  Rehobam. Rehobam was king of Isreal at the time. THe people of Isreal cam to him and told him that his father made them work too hard and they asked him to lighten the work load. Rehobam asked an elder what he should say in reply. Rehobam rejected the advice of the elders. When I need good advice I talk to my mom. I know my mom will always give me good advice.
